Every card in the game is fully attainable without spending money. Shadow Era, on the other hand, is free to play from 1 to 80 or whatever mmo analogy you may choose. Even those that put no money into the game, don't access any communities, and don't spread by word of mouth, even they contribute simply populating servers. Why force players to pay for something they don't know what will be like AND refuse to reward people who populate your matchmaking. A tcg, much like an MMO, has a very different gameplay experience between just starting out and the endgame. If you have to pay for each level you gain, that's ridiculous. Getting new cards is your way of growing in power over time, like gaining levels in mmorpgs. Think of iTCGs under the business model of any other MMO out there. Pay to win: can't get new cards without moneyįree to win: everything non-cosmetic unlockable through play (SE) Explain to me how a tcg is "pay to win", because that makes no sense to me.It refers to the progression possibilities.
